3D Model Update

Here is a huge update to the model!

  • Many of the internal components have been rearranged to make efficient use of space.
  • Ventilation holes were added to the front and back of the case.
  •  Bumpers were added.
  • The Hinge was added and screen locks at an angle.
    • Note that the screw will be replaced with something better in the final case.

I am very excited to make the prototypes and test them out!

Let me know your thoughts!
  • What color should the final cases be? (Remember there are two versions)
    • Case and button colors
  • What improvements do you think can be made?

Here is a quick progress update on the case so far.
Note that there are two versions:
  1. Thick (not shown): uses a Pi 3 with all ports attached
  2. Thin: A much thinner version without network and USB ports

Raspberry Pi Game Case Early Design

Drawings of the first Raspberry Pi game case turned out well. This started when I was looking around for a case. I couldn't find a case I wanted. Most cases were either way to thick, are not portable, didn't fit my components, or the case was ridiculously expensive. I'm also not a fan pf most of the 3D printed cases since they tend to come out kind of ugly unless you take the time to clean it up.

Here are the quick drawings so far. Let's see how the 3D models will turn out later this week!
